Our detailed history

The foundation stone of HIMMELWERK Hoch-und Mittelfrequenzanlagen GmbH was laid over 60 years ago at Himmelwerk AG Elektromotorenfabrik, a company founded in 1879.

Production of high-frequency generators for capacitive heating commenced in 1950. The first high-frequency generators for inductive heating were developed in the mid 1950’s, and these proved successful on a global level when utilised for both the production of frames for metal spectacles and soldering of carbide tools. Tube generators with capacities of up to 100 kW and medium-frequency converter systems up to 250 kW were developed for different applications over the years and supplied to well-known customers.

HIMMELWERK Hoch- und Mittelfrequenzanlagen GmbH has been an independent enterprise since 1997. Devices incorporating semiconductor technology are developed and supplied today in the medium-frequency and high-frequency range, based on the know-how gained in more than 60 years of experience in the area of development, project planning, design and production of induction heating systems.

The future of HIMMELWERK has already begun with the introduction of semiconductor technology, with innovative solutions for a variety of heating processes being at the forefront here. We offer our customers a full spectrum of services from a single provider, ranging from consulting and the realisation of trials under practical conditions to sales and service.
